I'm trying to remove the flywheel one my bike (not a mountain bike) and it just wont buge(sp?) i have tried sticking a long screw diver in the notch and then hitting it witha hammer to get it loose but it just won't move. i do not have a flywheel remover and if i did i don't think it would help.

Flywheel??? To the best of my knowledge, no such part exists on a bicycle. Are you thinking of the freewheel (older bikes and the vast majority of all BMX bikes) or a cassette (pretty much all bikes sold through bike stores over the last 20+years)? In wither case, you do need special tools to remove it.

If it its a thread on style freewheel, (cheaper/older/BMx bikes use it)
what you need to is put the tool in a vise.....ON a solid bench! Put the freewheel in the tool and fire the axle nut on the end to help hold it. Not use some serious muscle, use 2 guys if you have too.

My shop has a reputation in the region for unseizing things.....
