im getting my new bullit frame soon (ordered it 4 weeks ago and its not even painted yet, but thats another story) and ive already got a 7" 888r for it.
the saint kit from santa cruz may be in the budget, but i really have no experience with this stuff. should i go with the saint kit, or stick with something thats been around longer? waiting til next year is not an option, cause im getting everything new this year and have no plans to upgrade in the near future. those who know something about saint - should i go for it? heres the kit:
read der:shimano m 800 gs (saint) rapid rise
front der:shimano m760 (xt)
shifters:shimano m750 (xt)
crankset:shimano m800 (saint) 22/34 with rock guard
bottom bracket:included with crankset
cassette:shimano m750 (xt) 11-34-9 speed
chain:shimano hg-93
brakes:shimano m800 (saint) with metallic pads 8" rotors
brake levers:shimano m756 (xt)
bars:easton ea70
stem:easton vice
grips:ame tristar dual compound
headset:dia compe s2
seatpost:thompson
saddle:fizik plateau
wheels:mavic ex729 disc rims hand-laced to shimano m8000 hubs with center lock rotors and dt spokes
tires:kenda kinetics 2.6
tubes:kenda freeride
i think thats everything. are there any weaknesses here? this bike is for whistler first and the shore second.
