This might be in the wrong fourm, in which case i am sorry & can u please move it

Hey everyone, i was wondering if anyine can help me out with a shipping problem, you see i live in Australia & i want to buy some bikes & parts from both shops in the USA & Canda & from the Ridemonkey Buy&Sell, but shipping through Fedex & UPS is just so expensive, so i was wondering if anyone has had any experince or knows anything about shipping through Canda Post & USPS?

if so :

Do they ship to Australia?

Do they offer insurance?

How long does it take?

How much does it cost & what did u send, ie: frame or a hub or a complete bike?

Did u have any problems with customs?

Thanks heaps everyone for helping me out, i realy appershate it.

USPS sends to australia, i assume you can get it inssured for an extra cost like other postal services around the world
its much cheaper then Fedex

When i bought stuff from US it would have taken 1.5 weeks but the package got damaged in transit so it ended up 3 weeks as it returned to sender then was resent brand new
i think it was $20US for a chainguide

its a lot cheaper if you send it by boat but then it takes about 6-8 weeks

customs in australia dont really car about stuff under $400 AUD value so they let it through no probs

but frames and usually bigger things like wheels, forks
they charge you GST on all those parts and it would probably take longer to go through customs

Do a search and go to the respective companies websites to check out rates and fees.
