I just recently got a 03 Psylo XC and have had nothing but problems with it. If anyone has fixes or has had the same problems I have had please let me know! It seems that for some reason when the shock is compressing at a rapid rate the internal rebound window gets stuck closed or semi closed which causes the rebound to be very slow. I have done everything I can without taking the fork apart (it has only been ridden on 2 times!). Another wierd thing that is happening is that the U-Turn travel adjustment wont let the fork extend to its full 125mm of travel. It will let it to about 115 and occasionally if I am nice it will show the markers between 115 and 120. Anyone got any ideas?
I had the rebound window problem with my boxxer after I rebuilt it...it seemed to resolve itself after I took it apart again and manually open and closed the window a few times.

I just my 2003 pyslo xc too I havent noticed that issue about the dampner but I kinda have the same problem with the travel when it was brand new but after rebuillding it to put a stiffer spring and broke it in it gets about 120-22 mm of travel according to the little markers on the fork.

I just might have to take the dang thing apart because 10mm of travel is quite a bit to be missing out on.

You're not missing out on 10mm of travel. The gradients below the 115mm mark are not in 1mm increments. If you can see a few markings below 115 then you are getting full travel.
Those markings are only intented as a visual aid when adjusting the travel, and do not show the actual travel you are getting. When it's dialed all the way out it's set at 125mm, not what it says on the indicator.
Also, the '03 xc has a negative spring, which accounts for 4mm of the travel at the 125mm setting.
Try using a zip tie to measure travel, definitely the best way to see what you are really getting.

First of all, i just wanted to say hey all, this is my first post.
Id like to put in a good word for Rock Shox. Ive had my 2003 Psylo XC for 3 months and it has worked perfectly, no complaints. Its got soft springs, but then i am small.
Good luck getting yours working working, no_secrets.
