Great in theory, but patches just dont stick very well. Anyone heard of patches being developed specifically for tubeless tires?

I believe Love tires has an injectable patch system. Might just be crazy glue.

I talked to the Michelen Rep at tahoe. He said the key to successful patching is to thouroughly sand the area the patch is being applied to. Silly me I didnt sand at all cuz I thought the area was already rough. He also discouraged the use of glueless patches, but I'm sure they would work in a pinch.

You don't sand just to make it rough but to clean the tube off. Or inside of the tire casing in your case.

Actually the sanding is two-fold. Yes it does clean the tire but it also makes it rough so the patch can stick. It's like when you sculpture with clay you have to score the clay before you put on another piece. The makes it so there isn't two smooth surfaces trying to be stuck together. (Which doesn't work well).
