Avid or Deore Mechanical Disks.

Avid or Deore for XC usage - I've already used the Avids and really like them but was curious about the Deores. Anyone use them? Mechanical only, not interested in hydros. Thanks.

The only mech brake that should be considered. Or, wait for the Juicys - I think you'd change your tune about no hydros after seeing them.

I cant help on the Deores, but I love my Avid's. Of course you already know about the avids.

OK - I'll keep my avids... I just thought I would try something different for the frame. :)

I've never heard a single good word about the Deores. The only person I know who had them, threw them in the garbage after 1 ride and got Avids.
