...important things! Where are your slippers, pipe, smoking jacket and condom multi-pak? Just what would you do if you ran into the Playboy Extreme Team out on the trails? Chance favors the prepared mind, my friend... :D

Brake pads bepends where you ride. On a muddy ride in the Peaks, the gritty mud will wear out pretty much any v-brake pads in a long ride or two... even disk brake pads have been known to wear out over a weekend....

I'd be afraid my clothes would get bleached. Alcohol wipes will suffice.
Nobody noticed I did'nt have any spare tubes. I used 2 earlier that day when Stan's sealant gave out on a 3/8 inch gash between knobs. 10 plus H2O X's must have washed it out.

brake pads cause the ajustable calipers had rattled loose went angular and burned a pad to the bone in one panic stop. And they wear so fast in one long ride I have to tighten them 2-3 times.
Hammock is so sweet where I go . It takes less time to set up and take down than it dose to change a flat. Small and light too.

An Avid mechanical brake rider... ;)
I guess you have the first generation Avid calipers with the magnet? Right? Mine did the same thing. You should upgrade to the metal spring retainer.
If I'm wrong...diregard this post. :)

if you were real hardcore you would bring crazy glue just in case you need to glue your skin back together.
I wouldn't have brought more than the tools that I would be willing to race with.
