Just list the type of bike you have as in Full suspension, Front suspension or NO suspension.
And list Front and Rear tire pressure.

i agree with tweak! all depends on conditions!

but usually.. for my dual sus for XC.. i run 40-45 psi rear, 45-50 front. i almost always run kenda kharisma lite 1.9 on the rear and 2.1 front. if it's really hard packed i run 1.9 klimax lite on the rear @ 45-50 psi.

Single Speed hardtail with front suspension, running Stan's No-Tubes 35-38 psi in front, 38-40 psi in rear, all depending on the conditions as someone said earlier. Also it might help if people gave their weights too, I am 190-195 lbs right now, still a fat a$$ from the winter. :(

I usually run about 40.
I may kick it up to 45.

Another question whats the best way to seat a tubeless tire. I got a slow leak in the rear.

I take an old windex bottle and mix up some dishwashing liquid and water, then spray the bead down good with it and use compressed air. At first I air it up to about 60-65 psi and let it set over night or so, that usually seats them fine... If you're running stan's then the latex should seal it off...

DH bike: Full suspension, inner tubes.

- Trail/freeride - 30F / 35R
- Urban - 45F / 45R
- Racing - 25F / 30R

XC bike: Full suspension, UST tubeless.

- Trail - 35F / 35R
- Racing - 40F / 40R

Road bike: No suspension, inner tubes. 100F / 100R

BMX bike: No suspension, inner tubes.

- Skatepark - 70F / 70R
- Jumping - 50F / 50R

Really it totally depends on the conditions and type of riding, experiment and figure out what you like, keep a good floor pump with a gauge with you, and make it a point to check your pressures before every ride :)

It helps you see what area is losing air, so you can work it until it seats right.

On a slick climb with leaves and other loose debris the 5PSI really does make a noticeable difference. Sometimes, especially during out of the saddle climbing, the lower PSI is the difference between moving forward or spinning on wet leaves. I am not an expert rider but I can feel the difference.

On a road bike, at speed and in wet conditions, a 10% difference in pressure has a massive effect on grip and stability.

What the hell do you use a Shock pump to pump them up?

Frame/Fork F/R Pressure (F/R Tires)

Scream/Super T 24/33 (Intense FRO 2.7/Mobster 2.5)

Isis/Z1 30/40 (Fire DH 2.3/Fire XC 2.1)

Giant AC - Tioga White Tiger 2.5 - started at 40 lbs and I keep lowering the pressure, they're around 34 right now.

Same bike with Michelin 2.5 - 37 for dirt, 45 for urban

K2 with Tioga DH 2.1 - 40 lbs

I can't stand when a tire starts to roll, I feel it right away and I hate it. I like my tires to keep their shape and be physically predictible. That makes me run higher pressures than most people do and I find traction through finesse.

40psi both ends in the XC hardtail (panaracer fire 2.1 rear, tioga DH2.1 front) 40 rear, 35 front on the rigid singlespeed

Somewhere between 15 and 35psi, depending on conditions, in michelin comp 16 and 24 on the DH bike.

100psi on the BMX, to make it roll fast and silently.

If you flat on the road getting them past 90 is not easy - the pumps overheat or blow-off. At home I have a Planet Bike Ozone pump good for 160.

Nice Jericho man, saw it on a post on the MTBR SS BB earlier today... You'll love it with Stan's, you can climb sooo much better on a SS with lower pressure... I've had a couple of bad experiences with cutting tires in the last month so I've had to ride a few times with a tube in the rear, man I cant climb like that anymore, so used to the traction you get with low pressure, feel like all I do is spin out and bounce...

I bought some new Hard Drives today of the 1.8 wire bead variety. I am guessing but i think i like at around 60psi. That is what i am starting out at.

i am so happy to lose like over a half a pound of tire weight right now.
