A few of Australias top downhillers thought they'd have a go at a cross country 24 hour race, with ideas of beating the XC riders at there own game.

The old guys team, “Disorganised” won overall on 97 laps and Saul Britton won solo with 61 laps.

WTF??? That must have been one short ass course!

Yeah, they said the laps were between 13-16 minutes. That's crazy short! :eek:

Now that's plain ridiculous, someone needs to clue in the promotors on just how 24 Hour races should go.:monkey:

I can't believe people were just doing 1 lap runs. Seems like 3 or 4 laps would have been a lot more time efficient. :confused:

No kidding. A "typical" 24 hour race has laps that last around 1 to 1.5 hours. That way, people can rest enough in between laps.

True. An hour at a time probably would have been optimum.
