Avid 6" vs. Hayes 8"

I'm getting a new disc brake, and I wanna know which would serve me better, a Hayes mech with 8" rotor or Avid mech with 6" rotor? They'll cost the same. The Hayes i can get rite away, while I hafta wait for the Avid to come in.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as long as it has something to do with this topic.

Avid mechs are far superior to Hayes mechs. In every way. Not even fair to compare them.

I think he already made up his mind on this in another forum. I think he's going with the Avids. Now he just wants to know what levers. :)
