View Full Version : azonic recoil
Hey guys, I just saw a picture of it and the recoil looks like it has the drive side on the left, anyone know whats up with that.

I think it has the drive side on the left. Kind of like the LSD system that some BMX company did (don't remember which company off hand).

I doubt it, they would need their own derailer and cassette and all.

thats what I thought, but the picture shows it on the left. I didn't fake the picture or anything. it also looks like the disk mount is on the left.

Well, it would be impossible to have both the drive side and the disc on the left. But it does look like that's where the drive side is.. I don't have time right now, but has anyone looked at the Interbike photos of it? Maybe post a couple?

I think the picture looks like the disc brake mount is on the right side of the bike, which would make having the drive side on the left feasible.

Umm, yeah easy, someone mirrored the picture in photoshop. No they are not spec'ing a left side drive bike. I will be able to give you a review on this frame in a few weeks however once I get mine.
dude, go check out azonics website, it is mirrored on there too. why?

He just explained it, Photoshop.
You can see pictures of the new Azonic prototype frames at our Interbike Photo Gallery (http://www.hcor.net/syadasti/ibikegal/index.htm), goto the Azonic booth - you'll see that the bike is normal/right side and that 5th element shocks aren't being speced due to fit issues.

just read a review of the Azonic recoil in MBUK (jan 03) and its definitely setup with the drivetrain on the right and disc on the left

companies will do that sometimes to make the bikes face the correct direction to flow with the site.
just mirrored with photoshop as the others have said.

Mirrored with Photoshop, then a new logo was added. Actually what probably happened was they shot a photo of a bare frame before the decals were made and said "QUICK PHOTOSHOP DECALS ON!" Then the guy photoshoped them on and they didn't even pay attention that the frame was backwards.
Just a thought
