I asked a seller on eBay what the top tube length was and he replied that he measured 24". I'm suspecting that he measured from back of seat tube to front of head...

Is it on the top of the tube, weld-to-weld?

I always assumed that it was center to center but I don't know.

It's from the center of the head tube to the center of the seat tube. Sounds like that dude was trying to make his tube sound bigger than it really was

You definately measure centre-centre, although I'm thinking if it's got a slack seattube angle, it may be an "actual" top tube length? depends what sort of bike it is...

As described:

"2001 Jamie Bestwick Pro BMX. All factory parts which include: heavy duty front and rear axle, 3 piece crank, four piece handle bars, 48 spoke GT rims, orgy brakes and launch pro seat."

I'll ask him to measure again, thanks for the advice.

Oh, yeah, if I'm looking at a POS, please tell me...

Could you post the ebay ad? Or if you don't want a bunch of :monkey:'s bidding against you just PM it to me :p
