Hey anyone get their Fox Vanilla Shock upgraded to the Big Hit valving? Can you tell me if it was worth it?

you should do a search on it. I did a post asking a while back about this. this is what i got from someone:

want the diggs on the valving? well its simply a doubled up valve stack for the first four valves, Same as last year for internals except for the stack changes, The reason is because of the failure rate in compresson valving of the last few years, Fox is trying to save a little face due to the large rates of failure. It feels better than the 02 or 01 RC setup but its not a major difference. Oh and fox offers a "upgrade" to the big hit valving to older shocks but trust me in this, FOX is trying to screw you. if you send it to Edmonton to get it done at the Fox service center they will charge you $200, Full boar in Van charges $50. but there not a "Fox service center"

hope this helps

Where is this place they said will do it cheaper? See I don't really need it for the big drops I just heard it helps with bob when you pedal. I figured I'd pick up a new Ti spring from Avalanche and get this upgrade and the shock would be killer and down cheaper. Does this sound right?

That's where I got the idea from :) I'll have to read it again and maybe get intouch with the guys from that site to get their 2 cents. Thanks I'll post what I find back here.
