I have a Jekyll 2000 on order and when it comes in I plan to change a few things. First I'm gonna pull the XTR shift/brake system and replace them. For shifters I'm going XT, the old style not this new think the have out. For brakes I'm going Hayes but need some help on which model.

HFX-Mag XC (http://www.hayesdiscbrake.com/magxc.cfm)

or

HFX-9 XC (http://www.hayesdiscbrake.com/hfxxc.cfm)

TIA

i'd get the HFX-9s if I were you; they'll be more than adequate and are considerably cheaper. I'd only bother with the Mags if you were putting them on a big DH bike.....

Definitely the HFX-9s, they're cheaper and will work just as well.
