super t upper crown question

I'm installing a super t fork and was hoping some monkeys could help me out w/ this question...

Can there be 21mm between the upper crown and the top of the stanchion? I can add spacers above the headset to make up the difference, but do I need to? Put another way, by leaving the extra space, am I significantly compromising the fork's strength?

21mm isn't too bad. Personally, I'd throw a couple of spacers under it, but I don't think you're gonna kill it running that much. I've seen people run that amount.

For some reason, 13mm is stuck in my head as the "marzocchi-recommended" amount of extension, but I don't think you're gonna hurt your fork.
