Ive got a 2000 Kona Stab Dee-Lux, and im the second owner. Recently ive broken the bottom shock mounting bolt (it attaches the shock above the BB, it snapped in half. basically i want to know if this has happened to anyone else, and should i just go to my dealer and get a new one(s) or go out and buy one thats stronger? (btw, i dropped a ladder at exit 27 and it snapped there, had to walk the rest of the way down. )

Some shops have them in stock, but will probably order it for you frm kona.

Sorry to here you snapped it thru, hope you didn't get any frame damage from the shock body. The bolts are actually designed to snap so you don't break the frame.

An alternative is to get a hardened steel bolt from the hardware store, though I believe this voids the frame warranty.

Get your LBS (or closest Kona dealer) to order the Stab Primo bolts and spacers. They're A LOT tougher.
