Hello... I thought i'd post the question on here since I've had tremendous success actually getting my tech questions answered on ridemonkey.

Anyways here goes:

What are the internal differences between the 2003 Jr. T and the 2003 Jr. T2?

The Jr. T2 is on bikes like the Norco Drop..basically a 5" dual crown, looks like the older style bolt-on arch, and older style QR20+ (need dinky allan keys).. I'm curious if internally it's the same as a 2003 Jr T, or if it's got last year's singlecrown technology stuffed inside -- and they're using the Jr. T2 as a way to use up all those left over old parts

Thanks in advance

well i believe the Jr. T is SSVF and the Jr.T2 is SSV

it is simply an OEM 2000 Jr.T - that year, they came OEM with the QR20.

So, the answer to your question is: no difference at all, except that the '03 has 170mm travel, and the '00/03 has 130mm.

By the way, don't kid yourself into believing that the "real" 2003 Jr.T is any better than the others ('98-'02); it uses the same SSV valves and offers no damping performance improvement.

Here's a "real" 2000 oem jr.t......

I guess SSV and SSV/F are technically "different" but they perform the same - it's a basic ported valve, susceptible to high-speed compression spiking, as has been discussed to hell and back on this site and mtbr.
