Anybody have the measurements of their standard stem for stinky's? I have 02 Dee-lux.....Kona tech http://www.konaworld.com/kw_index.cfm info only showed this for 2003 tech info:
Control Stem
* 175 grams
* Cold-forged Aluminum for Kona Cross-Country
* 8 or 17 degree rise
* Lengths from 75 - 120mm
Maybe its 17' by 120mm?
I am asking because, am thinking of going with a shorter stem. as you can see from the pic below, if I go shorter, I need quite a rise to keep the current head angle/1 inch of fork above upper crown......and I don't really want to add spacers.
Anyone know of short stem with like 15'+ rise? Suggestions?

The photo "looks" like a 90 or 80mm long stem. Stem has zero influence on head angle or how many spacers you might need. Are you talking about clamp height? I think your confused or perhaps asking a question the wrong way? I have many days like that too.

nope.
by keeping 1 inch of fork above upper crown I have a problem if I move my bars back with shorter stem, cuz they mite hit the top of the fork. I don't want them to hit. And, I don't want to slide the stanchions down (which would make the HA 1 degree more slack, u with me?)
So I need a stem of a rise 15' + and 50mm/35mm or similar. Not worried about clamp height yet, though I guess I should be :D Aren't most stems about the same with Clamp height?
