my friend runs them and beats the piss out of them, but he is also smooth so what can i say.............

I have them on my mtn bike. Strength wise they've held up although I'm not that hard on parts. However the crank arms fit so loosely on the spindle that you can slide them right on (and off). The bolts that hold the arms on need to be locktited or the arms will work themselves loose over time.
Also on-one only sends you one size spindle spacer, so if you've got an older frame (like me) than the cranks will move back and forth about 1cm. However this can be fixed by using a small profile spacer in conjunction with the spacer they send you.
One of the really nice things about the mtn bike bb on-ones is that the spindle and arms are compatible with profile bmx racing cranks. When I bent my profiles I could throw the on-ones on my bmx as a quick fix.
