I assume you mean on the fork...

Your fork will have a slot under the seated race on both front and back. Put a big flat-blade in there and pry gently, alternating sides till it's free.

some forks dont have those little slots, but yea, you'll just have to stick a flat headed screw driver under it and tap tap tap it off.

I tap the screwdriver with a hammer, rather than prying.

Stein makes a kick-ass tool to do it, but really it's a shop-only tool or only for the tool sluts out there (ooohhhh i want one.....).

Basically it grabs the bottom of the race smoothly with a constant surface, and you use grab a weighted slider to knock it off.

No more nicks from screwdrivers.

Cost is at about $200 USD.

I actually use a PVC punch and a hammer...keeps everything from getting all beat up....D
