I'm just wondering if anyone knows what might be some good mtb places in eastern europe. I'm going to travel through former East Germany, Czech and Slovak Republics, Poland & maybe Hungary.

Can't really say - I do know that Southern Germany is nice for DH and FR but Bavaria dosen't quite qualify for "former Eastern Bloc Nation" status.

If you shoot Steen Good Legs an e-mail, he might be able to use some of his mighty Danish connections to get the scoop for you.
