I have a size 15 Rockhopper A1 pro frame that I was going to sell or trade for a trials type frame. Is there a chance of me being able to use this frame for trials riding without completely trashing it? I understand I will have to buy completely different components, but want to make sure the frame will not crumble
Thanks
Here's a pic of the frame

It will, but probably not for a little while. It's good to learn on.. but as soon as you start getting the hang of it, and doing things that are hard on it, sell it ASAP and get a trials frame!
If you got a good deal going on right now for a trade, do it.

I learned the basics on a 19” mountain bike. Ross McMaster (competed Red Bull Comp in Boston) was riding an 18” frame in Expert 2 years ago and he kicked everyone’s ass. And he’s probably only about 5’8, I’m 5’11. That frame will be fine, although it would be a lot easier with a trials specific frame. All depends on how much dough you got. I think the frame your riding shouldn’t prevent you at all from getting out there and giving trials a go.
