shiver dh race

sitting on the bike on the right side on the fork there is excess play between the preload and rebound knob the head of the screw nut hits the top of the knob when you pull up on the fork this only happens on the right side.
Is there a fix for this?
Does it affect the profermance?

this is easily fixed, but i just cant remember how (dont run Shivers)
