Springs knocking inside a fork???

Hey,

I have a Stratos S7 and it works well...my only problem with it is the springs are noisy when the fork is working. I took the insides out and compressed them and it was the upper springs that would compress but bulge out a little. Anyone have a good remedy to keep the springs quiet?? I know in my Psylo, Rock Shox used some sort of shrink tube to keep everything quiet. Anyone have any ideas what I can do? Thanks!

my lbs put a small bike tube (road i guess) around a spring to solve that problem

yup cut a old used bike tube up and place it on the spring. only needs to be in the middle of or so, couple inches long would be good. but you can do as much as you want. it doesn't seem to hurt anything
