Servus!

Well, we bitched for the forum, now we need to use it!

Who is out there from Europe?

Perhaps when RM makes the jerseys we can all get together in a pub somewhere (preferably Germany - much better beer :D ) and tell lies about how great we are.

I second that.
Where did you say you were again?

I am based in dusseldorf in a place called Meerbusch. 10 mins fro the Rhein where there is a lovely trail all the way along it.

But man. it gets dark quick here! and when the clocks change, even worse. During these dark nights I think I will just stick to spinning.

berr s good. live next to the netherlands. we got many different beer right here. in aachen. its kind a lot of tracks here in the woods. no trials (heared there are some). we do freeride and downhill. youve already been told it gets dark here around 1600. so we ride at night with strong, selfmade lights. and.. i can tell you, that rocks (at the moment i like it more then a "normal" ride)
its more difficult and more exciting. even normal tracks appear cool. my first time here on teh page. so i dont know if i ve done right hope you see it

Hi there!

I'm european as well- form Copenhagen- Denmark, land of free porn, and absolutely no hills at ALL! :D

Anyway- i saw the post further up, about homemade lights- feel free to e-me if you want some links about homemade lights- i'v got a pretty extensive link list, and some 20 odd some abou that subject!

Let's see if this link will work [please don't kill me- i'm very new on Ridemonkey:help: ]

http://www.uws.edu.au/vip/fathersa/ It's an Aussie bloke i've been mailing with for some time- he's got these genius lights off his own- check them out!.. i lived in Sydney for 3 months- Sep- Dec 99', and rode some of the tracks around The Blue Mountains, which he describes very well- the one from Woodford- to Glenbrook is bloody fantascic- loads of scenery and some pretty challenging passages on a fullblown XC rig!

Not been to the Staxton jumps. Are those the ones near the caravan park? We usually ride up at the Pace track at Bakers Warren.

Yeah, thats the Bakers Warren track.Starts off near the car park at the top of Wrench Green where the road is blocked off with the large boulders.
It's Jim who has the Kona. Not spoken to him in a while actually, gonna have to arrange a day up at the Pace.

Yup,Jim's a fast fella alright.Think it's cos he's a young un' with no ties!!!!!

Which track are ya on about? The one with the berms?
If so that is/was in Raincliffe woods.Dunno if it's still there actually not been up for ages.We did build a double with about a ten feet gap last year but some tosser flattened it.Go to the carpark on Lady Ediths Drive just after the speed limit goes from 60 to 30.Follow the path into the woods and it's about 40-50 yards up on the left.

well it was for both so what about other one, i think hes that fast cos of that bike its massivly over traveled for the track but i wouldn't say no and there not as heaviy as i expected although it does seem a bit rear heaviy to me.

Yeah that Kona's a big bugger of a bike, prefer my Lobo cos it's a bit lighter and the Boxxers dont tend to kill your speed when you roll over rocks etc.Jim got something like top 20 at the last NAMBS race in the senior cat so he's not doing too bad tho'.
