Anybody want to share some opinions/insight into what's the 'best' chainstay length. I noticed a HUGE improvement going from an XC length of around 16.5 to my Zebdi with a 15.75" chainstay.

What is the chainstay length on a mod? Mods seem to be easier on the rear wheel than a stock.

as a true trials bike, the shorter the better. Echo's have 15.0" stays. Crescents had like 14.9" stays, the shortest around.

I'm not sure the length on my mod, but yes, definitley incredibly stable on the rear.. i find i can be completely off balance or even come up short on something and still stay on the rear!

My next bike will be an Echo, largely for the short stays :) That and I just looove the way they ride... super nice on rear and just incredibly flickable and trialsy

The shorter the better. I was amazed at how nice the Echo i tried was on the rear wheel (15" stays). Note, shorter stays limit your tire options. If you can fit a Tioga 2.3 DH, your in good shape. :)
