Hey all.
I'm looking around for a new shock, and came to notice Stratos' Helix DH (the one with the piggy-back).
Has anyone used these before?
Opinions?

All I do know is that their air shock is far superior to anything from Fox (my opinion) and their tech/customer service is absolutely awesome.

I have. I bought two from Randolph when he still worked there and thought they were great.
I would recomend them but I have heard some horror stories lately about their customer service. I've only delt with them once sence he left and got screwed on repair labor, with a 4 week turn around. Other than that they always made great shocks. I have sold quite a few of their products OEM and aftermarket, and have only had to repair three in three years.

What's the retail price of the Stratos compared to a 5th or an Avalanche or Romic? The 5th seems pretty trick from what I've tried sofar on a Bullit.

Shame your Helix DH isn't the proper length for my needs, Acadian!
I'm not sure how the Stratos shock compares with the newer generation, but go-ride.com has the Helix for $350 USD.
The helix Dh's blew up often and more scary, sometimes locked out mid run:eek: Last I heard (1 yr ago) they wanted to redesign it from scratch bec. of all the problems. They did feel pretty nice when they functioned right, but don't compare to Romics ,Avy's & 5th's

For what it's worth (if there's anyone following this thread) I just got an email from the Stratos folks, who claim that the DH has undergone a big redesign and will be back in stores later.
I think I've pretty much settled on a Helix Pro, anyways.
