after a small fork brakeage involeing a trip to A&E i had to get new forks a mate offered me a set of mcr's (01) which i bought there was one problem with the forks which is the ecc don't work, when i changed the oil in them this week i found out that the rod that goes from the top cap to the ecc just pulled out (with out much effort) now this leads me to think that some thing has come losse or snaped , can someone plz tell me wot is wrong with the ecc and if its fixable by myself, the fork does work perfectly (as far as i can tell) when i move the lever it seams to have some effect but not as much as it should.

so can someone tell wots up :(

cheers chris

I don't know how to fix it but it is a common problem on the coil spring versions of the ecc. I would either call a local shop or Marzocchi.

If you're not gonna use the ecc just take the lever off so it doesn't get in the way.

Mine would stop in the down position then slowly creep up, Now it quickly creeps up. I just ride it i never really used the ecc anyway.

call marzocchi and tell them the deal, and they'll hook you up. I had some fork issues a couple weeks ago, and they rebuilt it for free and sent it back in a week.

I just got my mcr back from marz. a few hours ago. They gave me a brand new ecc alon with some other stuff that was messed up. With the new ecc I'm able to lock down the fork at any position of its travel and always have 30mm of travel. They did it very quickly, from the day I sent it, it took just over a week to get it back.

i've mailed marz us(the uk importer is cr@p at replying to ppl ) and i got the reply though i would , basicly the ecc is busted and will need replaceing :dead: sadly i've got the fork 2nd hand so i'd have to pay, they also said it wouldn't matter if i used the fork with out replacing it, so i dowt i will be just now since i don't really need it and have other things to pay for atm
