Hi, I just bought a new Trek 8500.
Trek changed the frame this year and there seems to be a problem with the chain-line. Two others owners have the same problems. The guy at the shop suggested that maybe the spindle of the bottom bracket is not the right width. Did anybody hear of this problem?
Thanx

Hey Hey Yannic! Des problèmes avec ton nouveau bike?
May be you'll want to describe what the problem is when you ride the bike. Does it shift by itself (ghost shift)?
To verify if your chainline is good or not, put your chain on the middle ring and 5th cog and check if your chain is straight or not. Check this out and also try to find out what's the spindle length of your BB.
Post what you'll find out...it'll be easier to help you if you give a little more details about the problem.

Now everybody knows I am a neophyte!
The chain is straight when it is on the middle ring and the fifth cog.
