I am looking for input on the Fox float fork. I have an opportunity to get a Fox float RLC or Marzocchi Marathon on pro deal. I have heard a couple people talk about flex or play in the Fox forks.
Has anyone had any experiences with the FOX good or bad? The shock is going on a hardtail and the only thing that worried me about the fox is the whole play issue. I already have a SID with that problem and I know the marzocchi is stiff.

that's why I am asking, I don't know. I have only ridden one around from a shop and it was brand new. I did not get to take it to the trail but it felt great. Someone I met in a shop was saying that they have one and have put a lot of miles on it this year. he said it now has play like a SID but not that bad. Seems strange to me because they look twice as beefy as any SID. maybe it's not common, that's why I was asking for Fox riders opinions (or Marz. marathon info.)

maybe bushing play...but definitely no flex. unless if the dude cracked the lowers. i haven't heard of too many bushing problems. i thought i had a bushing problem on my vanilla but it was a bent crown.
