Hey all, I will be building up a Superlight soon and wanted to know of those of you that have done it, who sells the best kit. Most all the online companies will gladly do substitutions, but the prices vary widely for pretty much the same stuff.

What do you know? Where should I check?

I recently shopped around and gave Jenson a call. They have great prices and will readily make substitutions.

My only beef with them is that they never returned my email request for a quote and i had to call them to get the info. Precious minutes gone.

Ah well.

I did the same with them. I haven't bothered to call them yet though. They still owe me a carbon riser that's backordered.

Whats up Spincycle!? Do your shopping around, then take your quotes to PricePoint and they really will match (usually beat!) the other price! Thats how we hooked up Sisita's SL (we actually went to Cambria to get around a couple of backorder delays tho). The only place they lacked IMO was the wheel department, but you'd probably be going in a different direction than I would so it might be all good.

SuperLight eh?! Sounds dope man! We gotta ride soon.:D

How was home?

Home(s) was/were a whirlwind tour. Got layed-over in Detroit (missed connection. get yer mind outa the gutter boy). Didn't send much time doing or seeing a whole lot.

Yeah, I'm going to check the point of prices and see what they say. Wonder if they'll answer an email.....

Yeah, different direction cuz I gots the flow and am a big weenie who doesn't like to haul all that weight around. yet to destroy a wheelset.....(fingers crossed).

I just purchased one from www.wheelworld.com last week for $599 with everything including the fork. Excellent deal and the fork was just what I wanted. However they could not substitute anything nor spec Front Derailleur, or seatpost size to what I needed.

I still think I came out ahead, and they have a xc oriented one with a SID and all XT for 699. These are about the same prices at from Jenson and others but WITHOUT the fork.

Other than those 2 component mismatches, it was a sweet deal.

Good luck

yeah I looked around for quite a bit before upgrading my drivetrain and I found that I ended up with a better deal from jensonusa. I didn't even get a build kit, just this and that.

check out www.jensonusa.com, www.performancebike.com, or www.cambriabike.com. they usually have some good stuff.
