Our December giveaway is sponsored by Dobermann Bikes! Click here to visit Dobermann's website (http://www.dobermannbikes.blogspot.com/)

The winner of the December giveaway will receive your choice of a 09 Dobermann Pinscher(525$CAD value) or Molosse(600$CAD Value) frame in custom color with custom serial #.

We have close to 100 colors to choose from Glow in the dark to Flat clear coat. Custom colors are a usually 100$CAD upgrade.

The custom serial # mean's that we can stamp your name on the dropout as the serial #, usually a 30$CAD extra. My favorite so far were "Die in a fire" and "I shot JR".

The Molosse and Pinscher are very similar, the difference is mostly on the component setup the rider is using. The Pinscher uses regular MTB parts and the Molosse uses MID BB and BMX rear hub. It will be up to the winner to choose which one will fit him the best.

To enter our December contest:

This is a two parter! To enter the contest - post a pic of you riding AND tell Santa what you are hoping to get for Christmas (or Festivus or whatever).

This thread will be closed and a winner will be selected on Tuesday December 30th.

Only post in this thread one time! If you post more than once, you are disqualified.

I am going to kick this one off with a super old school photo of me riding. You guys should do the same!

I am hoping to be able to get my bikes ready for race season. New parts. I also want to spend some quality time with my grandma.

I would really enjoy a Doberman to be honest. But if any of you were into the dog version, be cautions of a blood disorder Dobermans can have called Von Willebrands disease, it causes the dogs blood to be very thin and unable to clot.

I couldn't see a thing as i had chosen not to wear my goggles 'cos they were fogging up so bad that each practise run i had to stop. I figured i'd lose more time stopping than by running without goggles. I was wrong.

Well, for X-mas, besides being able to get through the holidays without a meltdown (ya know why, friends), I would love nothing more from my wife than the ok to attend and participate in (since I'm not in the greatest of shape, I won't be going for podium placings) the 3 to 4 main events I want to be a part of (Sea Otter, Downieville, Northstar's Thursday night series, and Northstar's 24-hour event, should they host one) for '09. Then, not only will I be able to have a chance to meet some of the monkies here, I'd also have another reason to get my butt in shape and de-stress the system. (Note to Santa-- Don't worry about showing up at the house. We'll still have the shot, milk, cookies, and carrots for you and the 'deer.)

The pic is of the Coolest 24 Hours in Cool, CA. Look closely, and you'll see some of the names of other children I rode for on the jersey, as well as Alaina's seat/helmet on the back. Oh, and the hand signal is the sign for "I Love You", something Alaina and I did as I drove off for work.

Be safe, all.........................

Let me know if you need my address so you can send me something.

Santa,
For Christmas i would like a new IPod for riding to some sick tunes!

For Christmas i need bike parts for my street mtb as it is dying from lots of good use. Here is what needs replacement

-the cranks fall off every few hours of riding,
-my chain ring is bent,
-the bottom bracket makes creaking and clinking noises and is ready to explode,
-the head set is a combination of headset pieces i found and is in bad condition
-my handle bars flex and make creaking noises
- my drop out plates have no dolts on one side
-the frame is in not the best of condition

so ya i need a bunch of new stuff. A new frame would be really great as it would let me spend my money on bike parts that i need so that i can hopefully have a ride able bike for next season. so that i can continue to do the sport i love. here is a photo of me riding

dear santa:

please bring me a new dirt jumping frame. i would also like some new cranks, bottom bracket, handlebars, a new wheelset for my big hit two, or some King shox for my Toyota Tacoma prerunner. the reason i want a new dirt jumping frame is because jumping a Big Hit is a pain in the ass. i recently broke my collar bone trying to 360 a local jump

When i was age... young... my grandmother scolded be for being a leach on the economy as i wasn't helping bring any money into our home. I have always been driven to prove people wrong regardless if they are right or not. so that day i went downtown and applied for a job as a bicycle courier. my soon to be boss was somewhat skeptical of my age, i claimed to be 15 years of age when i was clearly.... young.... Regardless i ended up with the job and was soon delivering packages to buildings in the industrial sector of my residence city. I showed an innate skill for bicycle couriering and was soon running more important jobs for the local mafia bosses in my city of residence.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3113/3084067546_90b93f2b77_o.jpg
Here is a picture my father took of me in my second month of work. i was delivering classified documents from a location which my boss called 'area 51' to an underground complex built at the denver airport. the trip took me about 3 days of riding on my single speed bike. only stopping to grab some takeout Chinese food or a whisky sour.
After running jobs for the mafia bosses in my city of residence for 3 days i got hired by 'bIg PhIl' who ran a prostitute ring in my city of residence. One day bIg phIl was complaining about his dealer who refused to cut him a deal. I quickly jumped into the conversation as i had a natural skill for psychoanalysis of gang criminals. bIg phIl didn't believe that anything i was saying was true, scoffed at me and said 'oh sure, and you could kidnap the queen's pet corgis (dog) pharos.
as i was young and didn't quite understand the thick layer of scarcasm in his voice i set off for England with on mission: prove bIg phIl wrong.

On the plane i met a beautiful girl named Jannie who was going to see the spice girl's concert in London.
Long story short orchestrated my infiltration of Buckingham palace using robotic sea gulls guided by GPS for on sceen running survalence. i then traveled by storm drain onto the grounds of the pallace. then geo used his special abilities (as mentioned earlier) to switch Pharos with dolly the sheep dressed up as a corgis.
then i hid out in the spice girls concert as the police went nuts looking for Pharos.

I fled the UK using my a7 khy-speedcraft which i had built from the area 51 documents which i had copied before while working as a bike courier.

at this point in my life i had not succeeded to bring any more money into our family so when i retourned home i was met by a disapproving grandmother wagging her finger at me. apparently one of the surveillance seagulls malfunctioned and fell to the ground. a frame in the video in the seagull showed me as the criminal who kidnapped pharos.
she then continued to say that martha stewart having hot flashes from menopause could have done a better job than me at it. however the real disgrace was that i hadn't brought any souvenirs from the tower of london.

I have yet to do anything which impresses my grandmother, and i wish to win her respect.
please give me the bike to show that i'm not a failure

This is me in front of the Capital when I was testing out a new fixie build. For Christmas, I asked for a set of azonic outlaws in all white so i can start to build a dj/street bike (the wheels would be the first thing I get for the build)....so this frame would really help me out....all I have now is my fixie...had to part with my XC bike when I moved, but I am trying really hard to get into street since my roommates said I can keep it in the living room yay! It would be so cool to win this! I never have won anything before :hmm:

Hi my name is Jeremie Richard and I think the nice frame sould go to Mr Jeremy Hepworth because his frame got stollen and the impact it made on the whole east coast was unreal. It show me how me we fellow bikers care for one a other. This is more of an endorsement of Dobermann coz let's face it, there's no way a guy on an XC/Enduro bike is gunna win this thing. So....if you don't win, buy their **** coz it's cool and girls will like you 'n' stuff.

What do I want for Christmas? We'll, being that I'm Orstraylian.....aside from world peace, mandatory custom bikes for all (sorry Dob guys!).....I'd actually like to see a White Christmas for a change, and do all those cliche things we see down here on telly. You know, Chevy Chase type ****. Wearing a sweater. With busty chicks in Lederhosen.

Instead, it's 105 degrees and we're sitting in a pile of our own sweat attempting to devise ingenious ways to kill flies and keep beer cold.

So I figure....like that's gunna happen.....so gimme a cool Canuck frame instead, mkay?

Hoping EVERYONE has a happy and healthy holiday. I'm hoping to get a nice bright bike light for Christmas, so I can continue to ride throughout the winter. I currently spend the whole day looking after my 16 month old son (and it's too cold to take him for rides now), and it's dark by the time the wifey gets home. I am over 3 months into recovering from a VERY severe leg injury (Riding Injury...bent my knee completely the wrong way. 2 major surgeries and 2 major scars.) This week has been my first week walking again. For Christmas (santa will be unable to leave my wish under the tree), all I really want is to be TRULY a little happier with myself and my life (I have been feeling extremely down these days). The best way for me to accomplish this is by spending some quality time with my family and all my good pals returning from university for the holidays. Getting back on my bike and riding again is still a real long while away. I was also forced to sell my bike as I have been unable to work and required money for ordinary expenses (food..food.....and food...and delivery of food)

Happy Holidays!

I'd Like Santa to bring me a new DH Bike, I think I'll get other cool stuff though, Like a new set of lock on grips, and smartwool socks.

Unfortunately I don't have any good pics of me riding so I'll post this lame one.

As for what I'm hoping is under the tree, mainly little stuff. Could use a couple of new riding jerseys and some new goggles. My big gift I'm hoping the wife got me is a GPS for the car.

Hoping to either wake up 3 inches shorter or to somehow win a bigger bike than still rides like a bmx.....if only someone made a bmx style frame for 24" wheels with a longer toptube than a Macneil Deuce Deuce....Oh well, at least I can dream.....sigh!

I currently DON'T have any action photos to post but I can try to use my friend's digital camera to take a picture of myself and my bike and my favorite spot to shred... Currently I'm riding a 20" Honda race bike that I've recently modified a little for my style of riding... I love Dobermann and I tell everyone about them and about how one day I'll own a custom Dob frame... So that's what I want for x-mas this year... I've had a lot of problems this last year getting kicked out of my foster home and dropping out of college and stuff. I was sleeping in my 89' Cherokee Laredo until it got towed off my ex g/f's property and now I live with my biological grandmother and half-brother :) so I got what I really wanted which was real family and a home but I could really use a Dobermann frame! (And I would really love to have one of those Skavenger 'Skvrway' New Era fitted hats... Loving the OldsCool!!!) And to you guys at Dobermann, I'm really sorry I e-mail you guys all the time about the custom frame and how I'll try 2 have the money for it soon and stuff. A lot of things are going wrong in my life right now so please try to understand I'm not trying to fiddle with you guys. I'm really trying to get a frame ASAP! DOB LOVE!!! <3 (That oldscool freestyle pic was awesome!) :D

I want to nominate a local at our trails: Rene.

Just a few reasons why:
-- When others are complaining about dusty conditions, Rene is the one getting the buckets and filling them.
-- When daylight savings ended, and it was dark at 5:45pm, Rene bought camping lanterns with extra propane....which inspired others to do the same allowing for night sessioning.
-- When I said I wanted to hook up a grom with a working 20", Rene was on it and hooked the kid up before I could even get started on the bike.

What Rene wants for Christmas.... is a new-school light setup to start racing at the bmx track on. He's only been jumping for about 3 months and has progressed from casing everything to working on doing tables both ways. I think a Doberman with an XFusion Velvet R fork or something would be ideal.

Well, I haven't got the right time to go biking, but I've been able to catch my bike once or twice this month. Santa will bring me (a little late, though) a beautiful white RockShox Argyle 318 (and I'll have to get the front hub, or a wheelset, if my credit card can hold it). Rumors say he got into a traffic jam when entering Berisso (my city), so he had to delegate the gift handling into the Correo Argentino. I called them, but they denied knowing anything about it...

Happy new year, everybody!!!
