Best multi-tool?

Hey,

Well, I thoroughly despise my Ritchey CPR-14+ and want to get a new multi-tool. What should I get -- Topeak Alien, Topeak, hummer, Crank Bros Multi-17? I'm leaning towards the Crank Bros. because it's cheaper and lighter, but it doesn't really matter. Just want a good tool. Thanks.

-open end wrench:8, 10mm
-chain tool
-phillips and flathead
-hex keys:2-8
-and a Torx t-25

what else do you need?

my favorite part about this tool is the 8mm hex for crank bolts, and the Torx for rotor bolts, yeah:cool:

I have an alien and I think it is the shiznit. It has every allen from 2.5-8mm and also box wrenches in almost all sizes, plus the newer ones have a t-25 bit that slips onto the tip of an allen. The Alien also splits in two to use it as tire levers or to make it fit into smaller areas. It has a pedal wrench that you can actually use and it also has a knife and all the tools on the Knife side lock open like a pocket knife for safety. flat and philips screw drivers and just about everything else you might ever need including a chain breaker. Most important of all it is rugged. I have had mine well over a year and it works like new. Oh yeah and don't forget the "Hansome" curdura carrying case! If you want a little less get the Alien XS if you want more get the McGuyver. My 2 cents...

I found that the Topeak Hummer was the best for the price and size. Unless your taking off cranks, go with it. About $20.

yeah, I'd have to throw in my vote for the Alien as well. Much as a;ready been said, it is simply the jack-of-all-trails! (Wieght doesn't much concern me)
