I'm just curious...About how much can I expect to pay for a wheel build at a bike shop? THis is for a new rim and spokes...I'll be using the existing hub.

well, I can tell you what we charge.....

Labour=$25 per wheel build.

Spokes=$0.60 each.
Nipples=brass free....alloy=$.25 each.
Rim anywhere from #25-80 each.
Rim Strip is about $3 for Velox cloth.

that about covers all angles I do believe....

I just wanted to get an estimate on how much replacing one of my rims was going cost. That gives me a good idea on what to expect.
