Hi everyone,
I just moved from Astoria, OR to Kent WA I work in seattle. I love to DH and was wondering if there are any local groups or something that DH near Kent or a little ways away. Looking for some good trails. I have been riding DH/FR for about a year now.
Thanks
David

There's plenty of stuff in the area. I don't know much about the kent area but do some searching about the other trails in the area in this forum and you might find some good rides.
There are plenty of good trails in the area, but the majority of posters on this site try to keep them out of general discussion due to land ownership problems.

near kent there is south seatac, which has some nice smooth jumps in a small area so it is cool to chill out. That is in Des Moines creek park. There is also capital forest out west of olympia that has a couple nice dh runs. Not so sure about other stuff down there but you are definitely in day-trip striking distance of post canyon and syncline down in hood river.

There is also Astoria, some killer trails but you need to know the locals to ride there or you will get lost, trust me I helped build some of the stuff. Has anyone ridden exit 34? I heard it is a really cool FR spot.

theres also exit 27 and exit 38 and a few spots here and there. black diamond has got a little fr not much though. there tiger mountain south seatac with has a fr park and some xc trails. theres port angeles gig harbour ive ridden down evans creek wich is a 4x4 trail that was intense. me and my buddy are building a fast dh course in easton. tiger mounatin is fun if you dont haf to stop for people cause you can get going scary fast. whts at exit 34?
