Took a bit to get back, the Topo c wheels, got a few there that are cracking at the spoke hole.

Funny, I've been rocking a set of carbon-rimmed MTB wheels for almost 2 years now, beating them up, and they've been nothing but fantastic. Not the Reynolds, I haven't tried those...

i was replacing a spoke on a newer Reynolds carbon tubie the other day and noticed that they no longer use the shaped piece between the rim and the nipple. have they changed the layup of their rims? i remember the older carbon rims were cracking like crazy as a result of this, and Reynolds responded by placing that metal piece between the nip and rim.
