Great to see you have been able to build a new trail and I am looking forward to riding it.

Can't use that on the course. Sorry. It's right after you exit the North East Shore (bikers right and behind the Kids Kampus Lodge). Very well marked and hard to miss.
We have been busy and a lot of our customers have traveled because they saw us in the Decline Article http://www.whiteface.com/newsite/summer/pdf/decline.pdf

Seasons pass to a very cool dude from Huntsville, Alabama. Great meeting you Walker!
Another very cool dude (says he's sport but really junior expert) from Berkely, Calif.

Actually I gotta go to meet Graham from Berkely for a few runs this afternoon. He's got a seasons pass to Northstar and loves the place, but loving Whiteface too. Awesome to be compared to some big places out west.
More pictures tonight!

See ya at The Face!

I need to make another trip up there to ride the new trail. Do you have any more plans for the park between now and the first or second week in august?

Yes we do. Top secret stuff though. Pictures will be released as soon as I am allowed.

Mike,

I'd just like to say that I am a Very Cool Guy.

And in there is no link at or in this sentence:
If you would like information about commercial flights to the Lake Placid and Whiteface regions, please click here.
on the Directions to Whiteface page.

Whoa, that's some weird sentence structure.

Anyway, the closest airport to Lake Placid is Adirondack Regional near Saranac Lake, NY (about 40 min from the mountain), but flights are crazy expensive into there. I'd recommend Burlington, VT which is roughly 2 hrs away, depending on if you take the ferry and is also served by JetBlue, which means fares are pretty reasonable across the board. The other option is Montreal (~2 hours away, but generally higher airfares if you're coming from Les Etats Unis).

Oh yeah . . . that too. :)

Screw it, Butch - just do the Northeast DH Mega Tour - Fly into Boston, hit 6 different lift served mountains, and never be in the car more than 3 hours. You could do Jiminy Peak, Whiteface, Bromont, Sugarbush, Killington, and Highland. Here's your MAP (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr=logan+airport+boston&daddr=jiminy+peak,+ma+to:whiteface+mountain,+ny+to :bromont,+qc+to:warren,+vt+to:killington,+vt+to:no rthfield,+nh+to:Logan+airport+boston&mra=ps&mrcr=3,4,5&sll=43.733465,-72.44936&sspn=5.556827,9.580078&ie=UTF8&z=7). If you've got a couple more days to kill, add in Attitash (NH), Sunday River (ME), and Plattekill (NY) which are all within a couple hours of those places.

I did a similar road trip last summer with a couple of buds, and it was awesome. Must see: Rumors Bar in Lake Placid on Wednesday nights. Chicks go nuts and take off their tops.

Sorry I will have to look at that page again. The airport in Lake Placid is not a commercial airport. You would probably have to charter a plane to there. If you have the funds to charter a plane it would be way cool to charter a sea plane, rent a great camp on Lake Placid and fly right to your house. Certainly not an option for most downhillers but how cool would that be?
Burlington, VT. Montreal, Quebec and Albany. N.Y. are all about 2 hours away.
Bikes could always be shipped to our store too.
