You've got to love it. Heres my first DHer, 01 Kona Stab, although must have been about 03 I bought it in second hand. Stratos MX-6 forks that had a hole knocked into the lowers on their 2nd ride, frankenstein chainguide, the cheapest Shimano rear mech known to man and a front wheel that must have been lead lined.

not joking. the bike was a boat! I fab'd the bash out of aluminum diamond plate so it was not super heavy. Did a great job at keeping my cables from getting mashed up, plus made the bike look bad ass.

Who's he? Never heard of him.
damn..you can even see the tape on my wrist. I broke it 3 weeks earlier & taped the heck out of it 3 weeks in a row to ride Mt. Snow, Massanutten & Sugar back to back to back. My greatest 3 races ever too...oh the fun! Podiums. Then surgery on the wrist...good times.
Also, not the greatest invention ever to be on a big, the incredible exploding Mr. Dirt...with custom upgrade seizing pulley wheel!
Is that matt in the golf visor?
