That was a good stage, I couldn't believe how bad the wind was. I thought Kirchen had it, especially since he has won on similar moves. The move by Valverde was phenomenal, definitely a show of power...we'll see if he can keep it up for three weeks :)

I agree,....cool way to start the Tour this year. And boy, what a finish. Hope the rest of the tour is as thrilling.

Much better.

Valverde looked like he had a motor.

That was a Cancellara-esque move for sure, just powered up to Kirchen. I would have liked to have seen Columbia get a win, would have been great for their new sponsor, but they did pretty damn well.
I just don't know if Valverde can be on the gas for three weeks, if they expect to defend the jersey this week. Maybe he just wanted to make a statement...

During the Hincapie interview, I saw the extra material at the bottom of the lens thinking they had some goggle action going on.

hm, interesting. my only complaint with my former RJs was lack of lens interchangeability. we'll see.

As long as they have big lenses, I'm in. The Racing Jackets were one of the few glasses big enough to fit my big-ass head.
Wonder if there is a Thump version in the works? My only complaint about the Thumps is the lenses need to be a bit bigger for riding.

I thought you could swap out the lenses in the older models?
