okay, so I'm researching a pannier rack/bag system for my cross check. wondering if anybody has any feedback on OMM racks and a compatible bag system. looking for a set up for light commuting and touring. I want quality stuff and I'm drawn to the OMM because it's made in the States. Thoughts?

I have yet to ride with one, but I have installed a few for guys that have toured with them w/o complaint. We order Tubus and OMM, both great racks.

I like the OMM a little more. I am sure there is a great long debate out there about the mounting points on the brakes bosses vs. braze ons.

If you are looking at them, Arkel bags are the sh!t.
