i've got my 38mm Edge tubulars. looking for something lower profile and cheaper. on my consideration list right now:
DT Mon Chasserals
DT 240 hubs built to RR1.1s (white hubs, black rims, Competition spokes)
DT 240 hubs built to Velocity Escapes (tubular)
D/A 7850SLs
Fulcrum Racing 1s
These are all basically within $100 for me.
Debating, really, between tubeless and tubular. For me, tubies are proven. I love how my Edge wheels ride and I have no worries taking 90* turns at 20mph+.
The tubeless thing bugs me, though. I have guys racing crits on tubeless conversions (R-Sys and Ksyriums with Fusion Tubeless) and they all love it. But the idea of blowing a tire on a turn scares me. Is this justified? I realize I could just as easily roll off a tubie, but that doesn't bug me.
Tubeless tire selection is nill now, other than the Fusions, but I expect it to increase in 2009.
Recommendations or thoughts?

Jamison got a Tarmac Pro frame and ordered a Red group. I was insistent on this wheelset.
DT Mon Chasserals
I really want to try some. And they are white.

The only thing I don't like about the MCs is the radial front lacing and and gaudy decals, which is why I was thinking about getting the black RR1.1 rims. Did you get your Quality order in for the wheels? They have 2 fronts left in stock as of tonight.
Rob at Pivot told me they were good all around wheels. He's got some on his G4. He told me I might not dig them too much 'cause I like my stuff "pound in the ass in prison" stiff. As such, I was considering Competitions instead of Aerolites.

The MC's really appeal to me, but it's mostly a color thing, I don't have too much experience with their wheels, road or MTB.
I've been really happy with my 7850SL DA wheels, they're light, stiff, smooth, everything a wheel should be.
The Fulcrums are alright, I wouldn't really recommend them over any other the others though, to me there is just nothing too special about them, looks or otherwise. I've got a set of the clinchers, they're ok, but not amazing.
I have some R-SYS, I'm not running them with tubeless tires right now for a couple of reasons. They're decent wheels, but I do notice they do take a bit more to keep at speed.
I have way too many wheels though, but it's nice to be able to choose the wheels based on the ride I'm doing.
Of the choices you listed, I like the 7850SL wheels the most.

Converted my D/A/ RR1.1 wheels to tubeless today. will ride Sunday or Monday morning. Kind of leaning that way right now simply because fixing a flat would be easy...slap in a tube, air up, and go. have to see how they corner, though.
now, planning ahead...
i need some style help.
here's my bike:

what do you think...
white rims, red nips, black spokes and hubs, or
black rims, red nips, black spokes and white hubs, or
just say screw it an go with
white rims, red nips, black spokes, and white hubs (Mon Chasseral without the gaudy decals)?
i think the white rims would be pretty slick, but possibly a little too much when paired with white hubs, while the white hubs would be a little understated with black rims. fact of the matter, i freakin' love the idea of white hubs.

The bike is black right? I honestly don't think that the white rim/hub combo is too loud, I think it's mostly the MC decals that make it stand out. What rims would you use if you built it yourself?
White wheels would look pretty badass with your color combo. Tape, saddle, and a bit in the wheels. Hot.
Get some white spokes, like the Astana team bikes! :)
What stem are you running?

Rims would be white RR1.1s.
FSA something or other...fake carbon faceplate.
