Solid, heavy bikes meant for super abuse.

They would probably be more popular if the price wasn't so high (~$3,000 frame) along with the weight.

If you're riding North Shore daily, then it would make sense to invest in a bike that's going to take it for years.

Superb bikes. Expensive, but worth it. I have not spent any time on the trail on one, but I ride with guys who have V-Tachs and Delirium Ts who rip it up and love their bikes. Burly as anything, a bit heavy (the V-Tach anyway) but pretty much indestructable.
