I was told yesterday that I can't get the Masi fixie I want (they are out for the summer), so I've been hunting on ebay and I came across this bike. Anyone know anything about it? It looks like a cool project bike, but a bit spendy

Very interesting , wood wheels . Would be a Heck of a Restoration project ,not Sure I'd want to ride it . the only thing that looks wrong for that Bike is the fork , something looks wrong about it.

and I really like the Skip tooth Chain.

I thought the same thing. I'm not going to bid on it, but thought it was an intersting find. I really like the wood rims

That thing is SWEET! If you can wait until this fall, there should be something neat for you to consider, though it'll be more than a KHS...

I dig the wooden wheels, I had a set built for an old-school track bike we built for Interbike last year. The guy who builds them uses wood wheels on his daily commuter.
http://wheelfanatyk.blogspot.com/ <- Pretty good info on anything wooden wheel related, he's so passionate about it, it makes it a fun read.

Patience young grasshopper.

Several months is a long time, and I won't be happy if I buy a bike and then have to sell it to buy another cooler, more hip, bike

Sometimes life just isn't fair...
You can buy a Colnago track frame now though. It is a bit spendy, but what Colnago isn't?

You racing track or just looking for a fixie?

I have a velodrome about an hour away, so I was looking for something to ride around town and that I could possibly race track on.
