does it matter which ones I buy? I used to get Fuji's because I read (way back) that they were higher quality and lasted longer then the cheaper ones.

Which ones do you guys recommend?

I use Sony DVD+R. The ones with the purple label. That is what my burner recommended and I haven't had any trouble with them. Check out this site; http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia. Lots of good info on there.

Depends on what you want to do with them.

Taiyo Yuden makes about the best quality DVDs around, if you want archival-quality.

www.supermediastore.com sells them. There are varying levels which directly correlate with the price. Not cheap.

I usually get TDK Medical Grade disks for archiving files.

I've had plenty of DVD's of various manufacture that end up being coasters.
