Can I get Pepsi with real sugar anywhere so I can avoid high fructose corn syrup. I don't care if I have to ship it from another country. Pepsi in a can is what my dad always drinks and now when I have a bad day having one brings back good memories.

Quote:

While bread gets cracker-ified during Passover, chosen bottles of soda get stripped of their high-fructose corn syrup and are sweetened instead with the real deal. No need to hunt for imported Mexican colas or hitch a ride south of the border for the cane sugar cola that tastes so great.

That's right: Passover Coke is here! (Or Passover Pepsi, if you're on that side of the Cola War.)

Both Coca-Cola and Pepsi make a real-sugar version around this time of year, and you can find it by looking for yellow caps on Coke bottles or white caps on Pepsi. But to be sure you really have a sweet, sweet sugariffic cola in your hands, check the cap for a "P" next to whatever kosher symbol appears (see photo).

Now we just have to find it

I would gladly pay 5 bucks a bottle for that.

A buddy of mine told me that he found cane sugar Coke at Costco. He made the mistake of purchasing Coke in glass (not plastic) bottles. It wasn't until he got home and tasted something different that he discovered it was made with the real stuff (Columbian?).

China Cola is better than either.

Purified carbonated water, raw cane sugar, szechuan peony root, cassia bark, Malaysian vanilla, oils of lemon, lime and orange, nutmeg, cloves, licorice, cardamom, caramel color, citric and phosphoric acids.

The first post is 2 sentences long. READ IT. Pepsi is significant and can't be replaced with some natural soda.

Cherry Coke reminds me of camping with my dad every time I have one.

As he and Arkayne pointed out both cola companies decided on their own their original products could be replaced and they did it years ago. The soda companies are too cheap to use their older recipes in the US with real sugar which most people don't even notice or care about. They are still making money so the mindless masses already decided it could be replaced.

Its time to try a better brand which hasn't compromised on taste/ingredients to improve profits. There are numerous regular and natural soda brands that make them as people have noted in the thread.

Its like graduating from Bud, Miller, Coors, etc to real beer.

Gimme a break. It's rotgut. Whether it's made with sugar or HFCS. You've already thrown your health away by drinking it... :disgust1:

There is such a high tariff on sugar that the US pays roughly 2.5 times what the rest of the world pays for sugar putting our food producers at a significant disadvantage. That is why just about everything has HFCS in it. I avoid HFCS as much as I can because it is bad for you in so many ways. Some are trying to disguise HFCS by calling it glucose-fructose. Crystaline fructose is just an even more processed form of HFCS and is even worse for you. When I found that out I stopped drinking Vitamin Water (so much for being a healthy drink). I mostly only drink water, milk, and apple juice. Oh and Honest Ade (http://www.honesttea.com/products/ade/) juices are awesome. I also like Nantucket Nectars. But the way I look at it why do you need sugar in your drinks? You drink cause you are thirsty. Too much sugar just makes you more thirsty. Oh, and HFCS doesn't satisfy your sugar craving because your body can't process it fully and instead converts it to fat in your liver.

:D
Worst "Healthy" Drink

Glaceau Vitamin Water (any flavor; 20 oz bottle)
130 calories
33 grams sugar

Vitamins and water sound like the ultimate nutritional tag team, but what the label doesn't say is that a bottle of vitamin water carries the an equal amount of sugar and calories as a can of Coke.

A can of soda is 12 oz. but the vitamin water is 20 oz. so an equal sized serving of vitamin water would have less than 80 calories making it slightly better than soda plus it doesn't cause bone problems like the Pepsi would (phosphoric acid and caffeine).

Gatorade has slight less carbohydrates/calories than vitamin water. You can water down either and they still taste sweet enough at 50/50 water/drink.

Yeah, but it's called Vitamin "Water" - and HFCS is NOT a vitamin.

I don't drink much Gatorade (when I do it is powdered - no HFCS) but I do like Enduox. I tried it out last year drinking a small bottle after each workout. I was kinda hoping that it wouldn't work since it is so expensive but worked wonderfully. I noticed a huge improvement in recovery and I was never sore. One time I didn't drink it because it wasn't a huge workout and was sore for two days. That stuff is amazing. Drugstore.com has a good price on it.

If you read carefully I said that I was hoping that it wouldn't work. I got some as a free sample and gave it a shot. I've tried Sportlegs as well (again free) and didn't notice any benefits.
