That's impressive. 13 or so pounds with 404s at $6500 and it looks good.

Why in God's name, if everything on the bike is Sram owned, do they use FSA cranks though???

Its lighter, stiffer, and comes with ceramic bearings....if you read the review the bike is highlighted by ceramic bearings all over

I don't work for Jamis, so nope...:thumb:

I have pretty much all the parts off of that bike though, except the wheels, because I'm too cheap to drop that much on a set of wheels...

It is a great spec for the price! Props to Jamis for coming through and really focusing on the cost of the bike, rather than building a "cost is no object" rig.

Well, the Red cranks come with a ceramic BB too.
Jamis was speccing the bike with those wheels before SRAM bought them, too.
And all the Easton stuff isn't a SRAM company...:)

I like that the colors match on the bike....the red on the 404s goes with the red accent on the frame....and there is even enough carbon to meet James's standards

You two need to start a new version of queer eye.

Needs more white.
:)

And hey, I have a bike with no carbon on it! Well, the rear stays, but bar/stem/post all alloy...

I understand that, but I don't understand when people break groups like that. I also have had hell with shifting on FSA rings this past year, so I have little love.

Well, knowing the cost of both of those, it was probably mainly a weight thing, I have a feeling they were trying to keep this down the absolute minimum. Mission accomplished!
