I like Throwdown with Bobby Flay and Hell's Kitchen.

Throwdown is very revealing with some signature dishes, and I respect Bobby, who seems to lose most of the time, for going against some very good cooks on their own turf. It also seems like a very chummy cooking environment, which I also like.

Hell's Kitchen is strictly watching Gordon Ramsey yell at very deserving targets. I don't learn much about cooking but I do enjoy the fireworks.

Not really competition shows but my favorite food related shows atm are hands down, Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Disasters(or is it Nightmares?) and Bizarre foods with Andrew Zimmerman

Nothing will ever beat the original Iron Chef.

Top Chef is good but it bugs me that they call it "reality" when everything is so obviously manipulated through editing. At least with Iron Chef it's so over the top you are in on the joke.

No competition show has come close to the awesomeness that was the original Iron Chef.
