i think the first thing that will fail is your shifters and or derailuer,

the bike doesnt matter, i have seen guys ride old rigids who could hit more than 5 thousand dollar bikes

I don't think it will handle freeride. Chances are the frame will fold in half and the fork will break at the crown the first time out. Don't chance it. Go buy a $4000.00 fully.

I bought it from a local bike shop. it's a BMX grip that I slightly modified.. I saw them online but I don't remember what site.

I've seen a lot guys abuse this frame and it held up pretty good! Gee Atherton did a huge jump with this exact frame. besides i'm not planning to do a hardcore freeride! I would say light freeride?

Those tires won't hold up if you have any rocks where you ride. I scored a free pair, so I gave 'em a shot, and they fell apart in no time. They'd probably make good race day Super D tires, but durability is not there.

Other than that, it looks like you've got a pretty solid bike there.

that bike should definitely do you good to get started. As things break (and they will) upgrade them with stronger components.

You can find those grips on S&M's website they come in a few different colors and also come stock on there booze cruise bike :).

Don't listen to this tool. I have the same dual's on my all mountain bike and after countless trips to mammoth and bootleg(did all the drops except the road gap and big red) the only thing that didnt hold up was the paint. People just asume that they are bad for FR because none of there beloved pro's use them.

Go ride and have fun!
