When preparing kraft mac and cheese, do you go al dente or mush?? Sometimes my toddler gets constipated if I cook it al dente, so in that case I always over cook.

Undercooked. Like it a little firm.

8 min, too mushy at 10.

Add frozen broccoli and ham = Delux Mac and Cheese

You absolutely cannot time any pasta...taste testing is the only way to get it right.

My Sicilian mother says to throw the noodle against the wall and see if it sticks. Then it's done. But she's a bad cook.

Probably has dirty walls too.

How done the pasta is depends on what you are going to do with it.

If you're going to serve it right away, then cook till done.

If you're going to make a pasta salad that contains raw vegetables, then only cook to about 75% done. The pasta will continue to absorb liquid from the veggies. Over cooking will result in mushy pasta salad.

Always al dente, all the time.

I haven't taken a dump in 10 years. But I don't care. Mushy pasta sucks.

You uh.... might want to get that checked out!

For me, I cook all my pasta "to the tooth" or even a little less, because mushy pasta does infact, suck.
