I am 5'11'' and want to buy a Kona what size do you think

I am buying a Kona Dawg very soon. I have tried both the 18'' and the 19'' and am leaning towards the 19.'' I have a 32'' inseam.

I also am going to suprise my lady with a Kona Dawg. She is 5'10'' with a 33'' inseam do you think a 18'' or 19'' be best for a girl?

What do you think?

Women typically have longer legs and shorter torsos, and your g/f is slightly shorter than you but with an inch longer inseam. If you got her a Dawg 18" with a 24.3" top tube, she would be way stretched out and near impossible to ride.

In comparison, the Lisa 18" has a 22.4" top tube.

P.S. I am 5'10.5" with a 30" inseam, and I ride a 2004 17" Dawg with a 23" top tube and a 8cm stem.

Agreed.

She will likely want a shorter top tube/cockpit than you will find comfortable. Of course, this is all subjective internet-based sizing which may have nothing to do with how the bikes fit either of you.

for yourself? probably the 18" over the 17". Sounds like you have long arms and legs, so the 17" is better for the 5'9"-5'10" crowd.

I'm 5'11" with a 32 inch inseam. I'd opt for the 19" frame myself, but I like my frames on the larger size. My last two bikes (Titus Quasi Moto and Turner RFX) are larges.

I'd go for the medium if I were you (for yourself).
I'm 6'3" with long arms and legs, and ride a large.
At this point it is getting a little on the small size, but i bought it when i was about 5'11" (a couple years ago) and it was definitely too big for me then.

For your girl, look into female specific bikes. Girls are built differently than guys. A ride which is comfortable for a guy might be painful for her.
